Mr. N. Visweswara Reddy is an accomplished entrepreneur and industry leader with over three decades of experience in the transformer, electrical equipment, power infrastructure and renewable energy sectors. As the Group Chairman and Promoter Director of Indo Tech Transformers Limited, he provides strategic leadership and guidance to the Group, drawing on his extensive experience across manufacturing, engineering, EPC, power infrastructure and emerging energy technologies.
Mr. Reddy began his entrepreneurial journey in 1994 with the incorporation of Shirdi Sai Electricals Limited, marking the beginning of his association with the transformer industry. With a strong entrepreneurial vision and a commitment to building indigenous capabilities, he was among the early business leaders to venture into the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) sector, undertaking rural electrification works, substation projects and transmission and distribution-related infrastructure projects across India. Over the years, Mr. Reddy has built the Group around two fundamental pillars — energy efficiency and sustainability. His vision has been to develop businesses and technologies that contribute to a more efficient, resilient and sustainable energy ecosystem. This philosophy has guided the Group’s evolution from electrical infrastructure and transformer manufacturing into a broader energy and technology platform.
A strong advocate of energy-efficient electrical infrastructure, Mr. Reddy has played a significant role in advancing the manufacture and adoption of energy-efficient transformers. In recognition of his contribution towards promoting energy conservation through the production of energy-efficient transformers, he received the National Energy Conservation Award from the Ministry of Power, Government of India, in 2014. He was also recognised with an Energy Conservation Award in 2022, further reflecting his continued commitment to energy efficiency and conservation.
Under his leadership, the Group has also expanded its presence into the renewable energy sector, with a focus on building integrated and indigenous manufacturing capabilities. The Group has ventured into renewable energy through fully backward-integrated solar module manufacturing, with the objective of strengthening domestic value chains, reducing dependence on imported components and supporting the development of a self-reliant clean-energy manufacturing ecosystem in India.
Mr. Reddy has also been an early contributor to efforts to establish and strengthen the manufacturing of electrical steel in India, recognising its strategic importance to the country’s transformer and electrical equipment industries. His focus on developing domestic capabilities in critical materials and components reflects his broader vision of creating a robust, technology-driven and globally competitive electrical manufacturing ecosystem within the country.
Mr. Reddy currently serves as the Chairman and Managing Director of Shirdi Sai Electricals Limited, the holding company of Indo Tech Transformers Limited. In this role, he continues to provide strategic direction to the Group, with a focus on sustainable growth, technological advancement, operational excellence, energy efficiency and long-term value creation.
As Non-Executive Director of Indo Tech Transformers Limited, Mr. Reddy brings to the Board extensive industry knowledge, entrepreneurial experience and a strategic perspective developed over more than three decades. His leadership is underpinned by a commitment to innovation, energy conservation, sustainability, responsible governance and the development of enduring capabilities across the power and energy value chain. With a career spanning more than three decades, Mr. Reddy continues to guide the Group with a long-term vision — strengthening its market presence, advancing technological and manufacturing capabilities, fostering indigenous innovation and contributing to India’s transition towards a more energy-efficient and sustainable future.
